Managing Director - Architectural Practice - Caymans

Our client is an International Architectural Practice, with offices in the US , and several Caribbean jurisdictions. They specialize in luxury Hotel and Resort schemes and are currently looking for an experienced Architect for the post of Managing Director in their Cayman Islands office. This role will have a strong focus on business/client development and operational duties. Candidates will enjoy managing a small team of professionals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Business development - working closely with existing clients and winning new business for the company, promoting the company name and upholding their well-established reputation.
• Day to day running of the office , including management of staff.
• Running large scale Hotel and Resort schemes , leading teams of Architects, Landscape Architects and Interior Designers both in the office and on site.
• Budgeting, Resourcing and Legal documentation .
• Working closely with the other Managers and Directors , across the Caribbean .

Candidates will fulfill the following criteria:

• Fully qualified and registered as an Architect; from either the USA , Canada or UK .
• Experience of business development and office management.
• Experience of working on Hotels and Resorts on an International basis, ideally in the Caribbean .
• Strong design and presentation ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sound construction and contract knowledge.
• Previous experience of managing staff, resourcing and budgeting.
